What amazing Silent Auction items! I hope y'all raise tons of money this weekend. :D
The bathroom looks amazing. Seriously. And huge. I wish was bathroom was that big. Wow. I love the corner shower. I really love glass blocks myself, but I can totally understand why it wouldn't work for Eli. He would constantly be punching the wall due to lack of room, so this makes perfect sense and it's great that you found the curtain you wanted.
The glass wall was a pain in the behind to clean and he was constantly bumping his elbow, so yeah, this works much better!
That was the only curtain I found that coordinated and was long enough. All the rest that were the right size were clear plastic, which I really didn't want. This gives a little privacy, which is nice. I'm working on getting the shower curtain weighted properly so it doesn't blow in while we shower. I got a Physics lesson this morning as to why it does that. ;)
I like glass blocks for bathroom windows instead of glass, so they let it plenty of light but you don't need any blinds or curtains because people can't see in.
Our master bath is upstairs and the window faces a wall with no windows, so there aren't really any privacy or security issues there, but definitely get what you're saying.
I got the lecture twice, one from boy. Thank goodness the fil isn't here right now to make it three!
Wow, those are some kind of amazing silent auction prizes! *makes grabby hands at huge bag of wool yarn* Hopefully you'll get some really high bids on them. Bidding wars away!
So, now that you're done with your bathroom will you come redo mine? :) That's impressive...especially the find of The Mirrors!
We had a huge box of goodies that had been donated over the last couple of years and we couldn't figure out what to do with it all, so baskets it is! I'm really pleased with how they came out. :)
You're going to have to get in my bathroom make-over queue. That has been a very popular question the last few days! The Mirrors make me SO happy. They were just what I was looking for! I neglected to mention I had looked at 6 or 7 stores before stumbling on them.
Excuse me but does anyone have a teleporter I can borrow real quick Saturday morning?! Between the bag of wool and the Christmas basket I wish I lived next door!! Good luck with the auction! Care to come do my bathroom next? Excellent job!!! ps...don't forget to bring the row/round counters!!!
Did I mention "need not be present" to win the auction and that out of town winners pay shipping? It's on the bid sheets, but I think I forgot to say it. You know, if you want to place a bid. ;)
Row/round counters are about half dispersed with a couple in the yarn basket and a few in the door prize bag! I have the spiffy sparkly one on my own yarn scissors. :D
That spiffy/sparkly one was made for you specifically!! Hmmm...no, don't remember hearing in the video 'need not be present'! Think I need more details (if you don't mind) on how and where to place the bid!! Then just have to decide which one I would want more.
Ditto what snowie44 commented! The bathroom is huge! It turned out beautiful. Our only bathroom in our house is small and definitely needs an overhaul.
The baskets are terrific! You are so creative and generous.
I'm hoping our visitors on Saturday love the auction baskets as much as you all have!
My bathroom is silly large and kind of out of proportion with the rest of the house, but I'm not complaining! I'm loving it with the new paint and accessory update. It's just so darn airy now!
