Those pants... I was thinking you'd probably find it most easily in a pajama pant, rather than a regular pant. But that green plaid isn't the worst stand-in if you can't find the teal.
Haha... this granny afghan is very Make It Work, isn't it? The blue and red squares are kind of surprising and fun :D
That is it EXACTLY. Make it work! Using up squares and yarn feels awesome.
The pajama pants are probably where I will end up, either in fleece or flannel. I actually found a pair of white and black plaid jeans in the perfect type of plaid that were cotton/spandex and thought I could dye them but they are from Korea and therefore the largest size is just ONE size too small. :( They actually would have been PERFECT, too. Boo on tiny pants.
I am actually really starting to like how this granny square experiment is turning out. With the grey I got to the end and cut the yarn, and then realized I missed a single cluster of dc a couple inches from the end, so I had to reip back to there and redo that bit and ended up having to add the bit I'd cut off back on right at the end. So very lucky I made it indeed!
I sent you the layout with the strips of stripes, right? I've bagged it all for right now because i really want to focus on costuming, but I am looking forward to putting it all together.
When I saw the pants on the video I thought they were pretty darn good, too! I'll prob grab pj pants if/when I find them and just let her choose.
I am liking the granny ghan but really wish I had had enough squares i those colors to do at least one more row. It's still so small!
Already did a round of red and am on my 2nd round of white. I'm thinking I'll do as many rounds of white as I can with what's left. I dug through my stash again last night and found a skein of Red Heart Team Spirit red/black self-striping, so I was thinking I'd use that for the border. It doesn't really stripe with crochet, so it ought to look interesting to say the least. I was going to just do a border in red, but when I found the red/black skein I said "Eureka!" If only I had found it before, then I could have used it to crochet the rows together instead of the grey. Oh well. NOT starting over, lol.

Making good progress on the granny square ghan... I'll start round 2 of the outer border tonight.

Good job on the granny...and how lucky to only have a few extra inches of the grey left. Were you sweating it at the end to see if you had enough?

The granny ghan came together fabulously. Excellent use of oodles of yarn!
Can't wait to see the Linus top together, since I've experienced the evolution of the project so far!

Can you do a few more rows around the granny ghan? Make it bigger and make a border...win+win!
