Hooray for finishes!! You are doing so well on that front. Go Jen!

Misty Fuse - I'll have to remember that!

You really worked those jeans - they are killer now!!

I think it's really great that you are making a quilt for yourself. I think many of us forget to set aside time for that. Great idea too to pre-organize all of your block pieces.

Have fun at retreat!! Can't wait to see all you've finished!

Yes, I'd love to see a list for the traveling box. The planner in me likes those kinds of details. :)

I'm almost to the point where all I have left are quilt tops. Must. Baste. Quilts.

Mistyfuse is FABULOUS. I'm not an appliquer at all, and it's even easy for me to use. :)

I'm trying to focus my quilting and it feels like it's working. Fingers crossed for continued focus!

Let me get some more feedback on the Traveling Swap Box and we'll go from there. You know more than most folks since you're at the beginning of the list. ;)

This is true. :) I'll find out the list soon enough. I think I am just excited, and like I said, I like details. :) Obviously I'm fine either way, that's just my two cents!

YAY for retreat!!

The jeans came out great. i've done some patches like that on clothes for Eoin :)

do you guys have Vliesofix? I tend to use that and it seems similar to Misty Fuse but it comes with paper backing. it's german made, but i heard it wasn't available in the USA.

well done with all your finishes too :D

I'm ok either way with what you do with the list for the travelling swap box, but to be fair, being international i know that i wonb't have to wait as long as others :)

Yay, indeed!

She's very happy with the jeans. I did a lot more of that kind of thing when they were small, especially for G. The knees of his were always getting blown out! For E, I'd add cuffs to her jeans to make them longer because her legs are so long.

We don't have Vliesofix. I feel like we may have chatted about it before. We do have other products with paper backing, but I seem to have better luck with the Mistyfuse. I have an applique pressing sheet and an endless supply of parchment paper, so it works out well for me. :)

one of these days i'll send you some vliesofix for you to try, just for the fun of trying a new product to see how it is.

Hooray, got a peek of the dragon fabric on the back of the POD quilt! Great minds and all...

I'm in awe of how much you get done. Wish I had that much energy!

I'm the kind of person who often skims over the back of a book before reading from the front, so I don't mind finding out about things ahead of time...it'd be interesting to see where the box is going.

I meant to show the quilt back and forgot, so glad the wind did it for me!

I would love to brag about all my finishes, but mostly they are things that were almost done and now they are done done. It's good to have them off my plate!

It's so great to see these finishes! The signature quilt looks great. And the green charms... so awesome to see :D I've got to find my blocks, wherever I put them! (I cut a bunch of pinks and red into my squares, I do remember that...)

I wouldn't mind to find out where the travelling box is going, though I'm guessing it's going to Australia (simply because you said it had a long way to go and I don't think Bermuda or Canada is so far away and I don't think we've had any other non-Americans posting in a while -- Italy might have been a long way, but Gaya hasn't posted in a while, so..).

Yay PoD Signature Quilt!
That is a really cool mending job. I had never thought of using fussy cut fabric as a mending patch. I've used it to decorate a onesie but that's about it. Neat idea.
Great job on the UFO finish. I remember that swap. I can't remember what was going on that I ended up not participating in that one, but I remember seeing all the different swappers showing off their fabric they received.
That's a great idea for having your kit all ready to go. I'm sure you will get loads of it done at retreat! It's always so fun to see what you gals get up to at that annual shebang. ;)
Even at the higher price your patterns are just about the least expensive out there. We totally understand the need to increase.
*hugs* wish i could be at retreat with you!

I think dropping hints about the swap box is fun, but I like the idea of not having the list posted. Keep it an adventure!

I cannot tell you how good it feels to have the sig quilt done. Having a date on it makes it feel like it's been FOREVER.

When the kids were little, I did a lot more fussy cut stuff. I used to make shorts for them and then I'd applique something on a plain t-shirt to make a set. Man, has that ever been a long time ago...

Pre-cutting for retreat is really helpful. We have plenty of places to cut, but I would rather be sewing!
