I would have started on it already but I've been working long hours and don't want to sew my finger to my machine and bleed all over the quilt, so it will have to wait for this weekend.
I am going to do another blanket in the same pattern as scrapeater (Autumn GLory) but I want to do a planned version with just 3 colors so I can run the yarn up the sides and not have quite so many ends to weave in.
I was distracted from the beginning by Ron Weasley. I also have that bag. :D
It's so awesome that they ladies helped you baste. Just out of curiosity, how did y'all stretch it at the meeting? I pin my backing to the huge living room rug and then smooth everything else on top before I pin baste. I know some people tape to the floor or a table to keep everything tight.
YAY for finished yarn projects, woo! The Glorious Scrap Eater looks FABULOUS! I like the current granny colors as well. It looks great for an older kiddo.
Excellent shout out for St. Jude. I hope you drum up lots of donations!
We taped it to a table and then smoothed everything on top of it. If it were any bigger we would have had to tape it to the floor.
Yeah I am definitely aiming the current granny toward older kids. It's 6 blocks across and I think I made 8 or 9 rows, however many I had of brown, I had fewer of brown than any of the other colors... 9 rows I think.
Worst year ever for our RAdiothon in donations... nearly 75% less than what we generally do. It was horrible. Part of the problem I think was having to change the dates less than 2 weeks in advance and then having to have it on a Mon & Tues instead of Thurs & Fri.
I know that you've got it all quilted now, so yay! Also, that's awesome they helped you baste that quilt -- that's that worst part of the process, I think!
I think you're going to be all granny squared out by the time you get through all that :D

That is quite the giant sack of squares, isn't it? I have a feeling by the end of that sack of squares I'll be ready for another sideways shell, lol.
