I had this done ages ago...but Windows Live Movie Maker wasn't cooperating, so I had to update the software. What, it was only two years out of date?!

I love love love my quilt. Off the top of my head, I think that cover might be from a re-print series that came out in the 70s or 80s. They released all of the titles with cool art deco-style covers. Also I just want you to know that Body in the Library is the first full-length novel with Miss Marple, and she is my absolute favorite Christie detective. I so want to be her when I am 70. So thank you thank you for my... I'll say it again... EPIC gift. *glomps*

Your black dress came out good, I'm glad you got to do at least a little costuming this month. I'm going to try to work on Miss P's jacket soon. I don't think I could have been that accurate with my satin stitch! Well done, you. I would have probably taken the lazy way out and done the red lines with tulip slick 3d fabric paint.

I tracked it down! It's actually a 1942 Australian book club copy! It was reprinted in the 80s or 90s. Anyway, YAY, so excited to know where it originated!

The quilt was one of those zen things that just hit me like lightening and then I was off. I'm so glad that it a special book, too. :)

The black dress took about 5 minutes. I want to costuuuuume! I've hit three stores with no luck for anything for me, but I'm not giving up *just* yet.

I have a clear satin stitch foot and I went really slowly. Really, really! I did think about paint, but my hands aren't always as steady as I'd like and I was afraid I'd screw it up. At least if I mess up stitches, I can pick them out!
