Also... what was at the beginning of the video before I got distracted by your hair :D
Oh, the tote bag in progress - I'm curious about how it's going together, as it doesn't sound like you've put in the second layer like a liner...? I don't know if I understood or not, about joining it with the serger. I don't know. I should go rewatch what you said :D
Also, funny about the spoons! My sister has a ring made out of a baby spoon, all bent around into the perfect ring shape. I think they must have kind of flattened the business end of the spoon though. Hmm. (I've never looked at it that closely.)
Haha. Yes, well, it's a work-day, gotta dress & groom as "businessy" as I can muster, which isn't too very businessy. ;) It's been a while since I had so much hair. Y'all have forgotten what a curly mop it is. It hasn't been cut since August, so it's getting pretty long. I can actually put it up in a small ponytail now, but it's so curly it doesn't look a long as it is. It wasn't dry yet, either
( ... )
I forgot to mention, what you can't tell from your vantage is that nearly every other button on the sweater is missing, bcause it's ancient, lol. That's why I only button one at my waist or one at my neck. I'm too lazy to replace the buttons.
I hate my work uniform (kind of khaki green button-up with black pants) but it's good sometimes not to have to worry about what to wear :D The hair is a different matter.... but I did something drastic to it today. If I ever manage to make movie maker work again, you'll be able to see

Me too, once I figure out what I'm going to do. ;) It looks like the pink won't be enough on its own,so I'll definitely need to add stripes of something else in there, but I'm still debating whether or not it will be the green. I need to dig through my stash to see if I have any other sportweight yarn I can mix in.
OH YAYYYY! This totally made my day! Thank you so much.... I think you know how I feel about pink (LOVE) so the girls can find something else to claim. This sucker's MINE. :D
The tote is looking great and the blanket turned out beautifully...very nautical or rugby-ish. The yarn combo is great.
I'm still chuckling about your spoon...you could always tell your sis that you bent it with your mind! A very special gift. :P
Congratulations! I will probably not mail until sometime next week. It's a shame only 3 people entered, but that gave you a better chance of winning, so that's good for the three people who DID enter. ;)
I really liked the colors in the striped blanket. I think I might need something to go with the pink and green one now, though. Maybe white? Actually I would love to use a light orange if I could find such a thing. That would looks so sherbet-ish. I'm veto-ing yarn purchases at the moment, however, so it will likely be white unless I can find another color in my stash somewhere.
I haven't made it anywhere for spoons, but I'm still going to try the dollar store, maybe tomorrow. I think she'll be pleased with or without the spoons. :D
I want to finish that tote tonight, but I slept like crap last night, so I'm thinking it might be an early to bed night. Also I'm having trouble getting the serger working right for 4 thread, two needle overcast. So it may be a REALLY short video tomorrow morning.
Still no luck with the spoons, but I did get a new toy I'm hoping will help. Two new toys actually. I'm so glad we have a Harbor Freight store here.

Do you know about their carpet cutter blades? They fit in a rotary cutter and work just as well as any other blade I've ever tried!
