Ooooooosqueemail! Can't wait! :D

The necklace looks really, really great. The chain and the stone are just perfect. I'm glad you found something you could work with! I know what you mean about the local bead shops...I've got one really close to my house but I've never stepped through the door because I know I'd blow the monthly budget in one trip!

I think some embroidered details on the mermaid block will make all the difference in the world. I like your idea of metallic floss.

I like the merperson, even though the body blends. You could pretend it's a kind of camouflage to keep them hidden from predators in the lake :D

I love the costume bits so far. The necklace really is great.

I'm going to send out yarn tomorrow (or Friday if I don't make it there tomorrow). The white will definitely be usable for little baby hats! It's super soft and cuddly feeling.

I think you went a great direction with the necklace it looks really good! I have a suggestion for your belt. I noticed the last time I was at the local lock and key shop (had to get my ingnition key thingy in my car replaced) they had some really awesome looking chains by the foot for pretty darn cheap. That or I've also seen some great chains at the hardware store, but I think the hardware store was a bit more expensive.

Good on you teaching people to knit. Spread the craftiness!

Yay, quilty goodness! I'm excited to see your blocks, even though I've already seen the photo of your pieced project.

The necklace looks great! It will be excellent as part of your costume.
