Irises are beautiful. I even got a print of Van Gogh's "Irises" a few years ago from the Getty, but someone spilled coffee on it and ruined it.

Your sashing fabric looks great!

I love purple irises. Aand seriously what a hardy plant. I'm amazed they do as well as they do.

I love irises.. they're one of my favourite flowers. My parents grow them in the back garden at their house, between a couple of trees and they never do anything with them either, but they always keep coming back. (I thought bulb flowers got smaller over time, if you don't pull them out and separate the bulbs once in a while, but it doesn't seem to be such a problem with their irises as with tulips.)

I'm a bit jealous of your flowers - we've still got a few inches of snow on the ground. Sigh.

We've already had to resort to air conditioning. But you won't be jealous of us in June and July. When we're melting and everything is on fire.

That's true enough - I like a bit of a middle ground. (And I get why so many Canadians winter in Florida or Arizona.)

Yeah, I'm guessing I will really want to be in Canada in July. Someday I want to take leisurely train across Canada and see it all.

I love your extra credit block because it reminds me of receiving packages from you in the mail...bff handwriting!

Every year I say I'm going to plant irises and I never do. I could use a little more no-maintenance flora. Your purple ones are lovely.

Yay PoD!

My birthday is coming up? No way!

I swear I cannot kill these things. We've had one little sprinkle, and I haven't watered at all. Of course, over half didn't have any blooms,. but I think I might need to thin those a bit.

Perhaps you could smuggle a bulb or two to Austin and we can see how yours would do here. I have some Alpine rosemary that's doing quite nicely!

We can certainly try this summer. I think I just have to keep the roots moist, I can wrap them in a wet towel and then cover that end with plastic to keep it moist for the drive. Just don't let me forget when it actually comes time to make the trip!

ahhhh...*blush*

You made the best new year's resolution that year...which is the original why of it....however, I feel that I would have done one for you no matter what. ;)

Pretty pretty flowers! We have daffodils in our back yard that we haven't done anything to that keep coming up...and tulips too, I think. I'm not much of a garden person, preferring the cool indoors....and having a so not green thumb....

Also, LOVE the extra credit block!

Need to do that myself. :D

I remember making you laugh was the goal of the contest. And something about dust bunnies, lol. When I rearranged recently I made room on the wall for it, so I can see it when I look up from sewing.

Note: I am a horrible person and am going to be catching up on TTMT videos in the next few days. I apologize for my super late commenting.

I have never seen a cat more deserving of the name "Fluffy" holy crud.

haha. Yeah. aka "fluffster", "fluffball", "fluffbag", "fbag", and less commonly (mainly just to annoy others) "Lady Fluffykins"
