Your stairs are phenomenal! Those blocks are just awesome. We use caulk for everything! Having a farmhouse that is 120 years old is often challenging. This look would be adorable going down to my basement at the farm. I need new glasses/contacts. Makes SUCH a difference, huh? Maybe I need to follow your lead and just do it. I know how much you look forward to and enjoy your retreat, so I'm excited for you. I wish I could go to your shop-hop. We have a really fun one here. I imagine it's exhausting for the shops, though. I don't know how you do it all. Have a great week.
BTW, in your photo on this before you click play, you look like a beautiful character from Jane Austin waiting for a gentleman to come rescue you from a dungeon. In her dungeon, with the steps leading to a barred formal garden, the handrail would be covered with ivy.
The stairwell looks really neat. It looks like it must have been a ton of work.
I forgot to mention on the entry where you talked about it - I think, or did I leave a comment? Hmmm.. - but I really like the new colours you did with it.
The real work on the stairwell was getting it done while still using it. I had to do it in parts whenever I had time, so it took me a few weeks to get done.
Your steps look moss-covered to me... I really like them! Miss is wanting something similar in sand color for her "Egyptian Tomb" bedroom. Ahem. We'll see. :P
I'm keeping an eye out to see if we get a shop hop around here too, it sounds like so much fun (for the shoppers at least).
Your house (not unlike yourself) is amazing. Granted, I've only seen about 3 rooms courtesy of your TTMTs, but the murals you have in your kids' rooms and this most awesome of redecoration projects on your stairs has me convinced that you must have the coolest house imaginable :D
I do love to paint...some day I need to show the kids' bathroom, which is all ocean. And, of course, my 1/2 bath downstairs is wall papered with pages from The Hobbit. We have a very fandom-y house! :)
I will definitely have fun on retreat. I'm ready now, lol!
Thanks! The carpet we used to have was really terrible...this is much better!
Believe it or not, my glasses prescription was the same for over 20 years, it's just been the last couple of years that my vision has been getting worse. I used to only wear reading glasses and it took me a while to get used to wearing them all the time!

I really hate going to get my eyes checked, because my eyes seem to get worse and worse, and I'm not even 20 yet!
I can't wait to see the finished product of the PoD!
Have a great retreat!
