it woulda been hurricane hermione! but your G has a good point.
holy crap! you are hand quilting that giant thing!!!??? amazing. it a good ecperience to have had. i dont think many modern quilters have had it. i think it looks great! quit badmouthing it! thats an order!
ambers blanket it phenominal! and yes her technique is amazing
It actually DID rain here today, and that only happens 2-3 days a year!
Your pillowcases and kimono are amazing! So let's see....if your DH is 6.5 feet tall and you used 6.5 yards of fabric....I'm catching on. Great work on that.
I saw your accordian file tutorial, and I really love it! I'm going to try that when things slow down a little here.
I am SOOOOOO impressed that you are hand quilting that! My mom can no longer quilt, but she hand quilted all of hers. I think she would machine quilt now, but back then real quilters didn't. I'll show you the two she made for me next week.
The afghan is gorgeous! I don't usually like orange, but that is just wonderful! I don't have hanging yarn either (my mom taught me to knit and crochet, and she was taught by the nuns at boarding school).
Thanks so much for sharing your amazing talent with us!
The rain here was crazy last week. The plants are sooo happy!
Still haven't started that kimono tut, but I haven't forgotten!
I'm on to another hand quilting project, but it's a gift, so I'll have to post secret pics on my journal instead of TTMT, at least for a while. My speed has increased and I think I might actually be able able to finish this one in time...
Orange is a challenge for a lot of people, but Amber nailed it (of course!). I'm super curious to see how the afghans and quilts for this Challenge come out!
Your handquilting blanket looks great! I remember you working on that in Chama... I can't imagine handquilting something so large... go you! It's probably very meditative, though, eh? Kinda of like me and garter stitch.
