I am reading a book right now called Intimate Death. It is a really good book, I have even had the thought of changing my profession into something that allows me to work with dying patients on a pyschological level---but I haven't. Instaed I am taking the lessons I am learning and trying to apply them to my life ( Read more... )

It sounds like you would enjoy working in a hospice - that psychologist's interests seem to match a hospice's perfectly.

And yes, CMU IV is DEFINITELY going to rock in the fall!

It is different than hospice. It is something that we don't have here in the US, it is a hospital in London. It does have similarities to hospice. Definitely something that I want to learn more about.

I'm so glad we got to talk finally! Speaking of that book, our senior pastor's wife read that and she used to work at a nursing home, but talked about how interesting it was too. After we build our new church it is in plans to build a Christian run hospice and that was her idea and she was talking about how some of the things she would like to implement came from that book. Anyways...I thought it was interesting you are reading it too.

You should build a Christian Hospice with the Capital Campaign!!!!

Not funny! But yes, after the main building is built phase 3 is the hospice for capital campaign! I don't even want to know how many years we are going to be in a campaign with all these different phases!
