Tales of Old
Michael was inwardly thrilled as he stepped forward to greet the Council’s emissary. When Shiro had trained him all those years ago, it wasn’t just on the supernatural world, his duties, and how to fight, but also on the history of their order. The parts that had always interested him the most were the tales of the slayer. A girl blessed with the powers to help protect the innocents of the world.
He’d always hoped that one day God would deem it time for the Knights and the slayer to work together again, but had tucked it away as a foolish dream. That is, until Harry said he had been asked to give an introduction. Naturally he had immediately agreed.
Harry nodded at him and gestured to the young woman. “Michael, this is Buffy Summers of the Watcher’s Council. Buffy, this is Michael Carpenter, a Knight of the Sword.”
Michael bowed low. “Lady Watcher, it is an honor to meet you.”
Buffy bowed in return, following the rules of the ritual. “Sir Knight, I greet you on behalf of the Council. However, I’m afraid that I’m not a watcher, but the slayer.”
His jaw dropped as the truth sunk in.

Summary: Danny watches Buffy sleep.
Scars
A small smile graced Danny’s lips as he watched Buffy sleep. If someone had told him six months ago that this woman would have removed him from the eligible bachelor field he would have laughed, but she had called to him. A siren’s call that he had been unwilling to resist. She was a woman with a rough past but still persevered with a sunny disposition.
Like him, she carried scars both inside and out, and each one had a story. They hadn’t shared all of them, but he planned on spending the rest of his life learning all of them. Not that he had shared that fact with anyone else, he was still trying to adjust to the idea himself.
His fingers trailed along the smooth skin of her stomach, brushing against the two scars there. He remembered how embarrassed she had originally been by them, but he eased her by displaying the one that marred his own stomach.
But it was those same scars that she carried that were his favorite, especially the one that was clearly some sort of impalement. It served as reminder of how close he had come to never knowing this type of happiness.

Summary: Gibbs tries to fix things.
Something Right
Gibbs frowned as he watched Buffy pick at her food. She had been uncharacteristically quiet all evening, which meant little had been said period.
It never failed to amaze him that as good as he was at reading suspects; he was horrible at reading the woman he was dating. Some sort of mental block went up and as of yet he couldn’t find a way around it. But he was certain that something was wrong, and more than likely it was something he had done.
“So what’s wrong?” He finally asked.
“Huh?”
“What’s wrong?” He repeated.
She blinked up at him. “What makes you think - “
“Because you’ve been acting strange ever since… Did DiNozzo say something to you?”
Her gaze dropped back to her dinner.
“What did he do?” He asked with a sigh.
“Just pointed out that I’m not a redhead.”
“What does that have to- “
“Because your exes all were, and they’re your favorite.”
“And obviously that’s not working for me since they’re all exes,” Gibbs said dryly. “And it’s more the personality that’s associated with the hair color that attracts me. Something you have in spades.”
Her shy smile told him he did something right.
