I could've sworn that I heard about a way to remove unwanted friends from your "friend of" list. Seems the admin staff were getting a LOT of complaints about friending trolls, and people were complaining that there was nothing that could be done (despite the fact that if you friendslock entries, and don't friend them back, and set your journal to friends-only, they can't really see or do anything). I guess I always thought it was more a function of, "I want to see how many friends I can get!" rather than actual pestering, but I could be wrong. In any event, check out news for more info.
