Oneshot Exchange!
Okay, I found a new form of spamming, and feel free to delete this entry if it doesn't belong.
Formalities aside, I was slapped by an inspiration last night, and woke up blinking wisdom today. Is anybody out there interested in Oneshot Exchange?
Whuzzat?
O.E. needs at least two participants. I'll use the educational A and B to explain this. A gives two short lists: 'pairings I want to read of' and 'pairings I can write of', and sits back to wait. B makes and appearance, looks at the lists and says "I can write that pairing, if you write this pairing". Then the Academical Letters set a deadline, write the oneshots and post them here. Yay. We get more to read and the community is more active.
Did that make sense?

How do I pair with someone?
You see a list that you like, and so you hover your cursor above the userpic and click on 'send message'. The first step has been taken! *dramatic bamboo-music* You tell the chosen persona that you can write 'this pairing' and that they'd like for them to write 'that pairing'.
Then the brave first-step taker proceeds to suggest (something that will be up for debate) a deadline, and doesn't fail to mention the following:
Language - Just in case. Kosk' ei sitä aina tiiä et mil kielel kirjottaa. Not everyone writes in English, even if you do :-)
Maximum rating - If you don't want to read anything higher than T rating, then just say so.
Taboos - some readers are rather sensitive, and since the oneshot is for them, it would be lame to write a rape-fic to someone who gets nausea because of the mere idea.
Length of the fic - I know I'd flip if I wrote a oneshot of 7000 words, only to get a drabble in return. So agree on a minimum wordcount at least.
Those at least, though if you feel like adding something else, go ahead and do so. Please be polite to each other.
