I want to write this down before I forget

When you give someone a book or some thing you consider having value or is well like by yourself, sign it or find a way to personalize it. It's one thing to recieve a recommended book from someone and it's entirely different to recieve one that has been signed and personalized. And books should always be given not borrowed.

Yes agreed! Your the most bookiest person I know :) My first thought with a book I don't want anymore is... hmm I wonder if Marcy would want this. :)

Yes, yes! Inscriptions on books are the best!! Although I do like to lend books and get them back since I like to re-read :).

Ah yes see I'm definitely not a re-reader. I do like collecting books though. Among things lol!

I agree about the giving books versus borrowing but I've got to admit when someone writes an inscription in a book for me, even when it's a super nice one, I get a bit weirded out about it. It feels like a form of graffiti or desecration or something ha ha. Maybe when I'm older I'll appreciate it more.

Hmm yeah I can see that. I'm usually pretty OCD about certain things. Like I HATE writing on myself. People write notes on their hand all the time. You won't ever catch me doing that. I don't have a phobia but it just feels wrong to me.

I hate it when people write on themselves too...but I've run into a situation where I needed to in lab.....so I put on a glove and wrote it on the glove instead...
