Cafeteria food

Somedays the state cafeteria has more great food options than one could eat in one sitting and other days they have food like today. I was lured into a nice big piece of lasagna which looks really great. Now apply what does with wine when trying to describe the various flavors one finds in a glass let me attempt to explain this piece of lasagna.

Well first visually it looked display case good. Multilayered all nicely melted together with cheeses oozing out of the side with a lovely toasted later of parmesan cheese gracing the surface. The smell was quite good yet a bit sharp. I attribute this the parmesan but little did I know it could have been something else. Now while expecting a delicious first bite I was met with a plethora of flavors one should not associate with lasagna. First there was the unmistakable flavor of.... taco meat. I had instant flash back to eating soft taco's from taco bell. I had to look again at the lasagana to make sure I wasn't hallucination what I had ordered. Then the flavors continued to give an easy cheese with ritz cracker experience. Now while I like easy cheese and ritz crackers after about a half a can I feel like I'm about to give birth to a baby alien. And then lastly the finish on my palatte this lasagana leaves me with a ketchupy meatloaf with celery taste. You know that slightly charred ketchup on homemade meatloaf with baked in celery bits. Which all these meals individually might have been good, finding them all disguised as a piece of lasagna is not my idea of lunch. Which to come to find out is really called Dinner and Dinner is really Supper or Tea. The english language is so fubar sometimes.

But in either case I'm getting better. I just still have a mountain of work looming over me to do. October 8th can't come soon enough.
