And while I search for you every day, you find me just briefly like a little game reminding me beyond forget that your out there looking for me. That nervous laugh of yours flashing in others peoples faces seems like a round of giggle laugh hide and go seek. My outstretched arm searches the night for the hollow in the other pillow hoping to find moments of soft breathing instead of quiet air. I wonder how delicately you sleep at night imagining who I am. How many faces have I seen you in and found you were only briefly there. Touched by you in subtle little smiles that find there way to me in other people. Are you trying to reach me? Are these people your little notes in bottles that you've thrown out into the sea of the world? I'll find where they've come from and collect them all as I go. For when I find you a little book of memories will I have and they will tell me everything and yet nothing about you. You'll bite your lower lip, then throw your hands upon your face, pivoting on your toes laughing and squealing and running for cover as I tell you no matter how far you run I will come find you. Greet me with eskimo kisses and I'll greet you with a finger to memorize your face. I know your out there somewhere, and someday I'll find you.
Sleep well tonight, for tomorrow is another day of hide and go seek.
