Number 8 sent shivers down my spine. In the episode it does make my stomach knot, but you've captured John's heartbreaking expressions - which I'd never properly seen before.

"And basically, whenever Benedict smiles I go :DDDD" Me too! (I'm a sucker for hands and smiles, and of course he has both.)

That scene is definitely one of my most beloved scenes in the whole series. There are so many things happening at once, so many layers to what is going on... it is heartbreaking but also hopeful, because we see Sherlock actually care for John. That little pause and that little light in Benedict's eyes tell the whole story, don't they? ;)
