Omg I love this idea. I totally didn't see it coming. I got to "Kuzon" and my jaw dropped.

While betrayal is hard for a lot of people to swallow, 'cause I mean, come on, BETRAYAL means you've betrayed the trust and love of those around you, it's not something to be angry about. I approve of this idea! And your writing style is amazing. <3

Though I always imagined Kuzon around Aang's age. Kinda hard to picture a 11-13 year old being so adept at spying. xD I've have to alter my thoughts of him.

Glad you enjoyed it! And thank you so much for your lovely comment. I tried my best to deliver a bit of shock at the end, so your response was what I was hoping for. Basically, it's the reaction Zuko would have had upon discovering this tidbit.

I too always imagined Kuzon to be about Aang's age as well, certainly no older than Sokka. And while I imagine a young kid wouldn't be too adept at spying....I suspect the son of any noble, no matter how minor, would know how to observe those around them, present a polished front to those it matters, and would certainly do what they were told if the family stood to gain something. Taking Mai, Azula, Zuko, and Yue as examples..I thought it was probable that a noble seeking to get in good with the Fire Lord, and of course Sozin looking for an "in", would use a kid who could be convinced to see things their way.

Did Kuzon regret what he did later on? Hmmm....that might be interesting to write actually.

I was thinking about that right after I commented. Azula's only 14 and she is more than capable of playing spy and all that (if she weren't so darned socially awkward.) So I could totally see Kuzon being around Aang's age.

And if you decide to write more on this, I'll be one of your first readers. : D
