Mother's Baby (Power Rangers Time Force, K+)

You know, Power Rangers Central went down for a few hours last night/today, and I about had a heart attack. I never realized just how often I use that site as a writing reference before.
I'm not sure how this will come across. Part of it has to do with the content and characterizations themselves, and part of it is just because I'm really not in a ( Read more... )

I find the basic idea to be very interesting and very different, always a good thing. There is a big problem I see with the way you've done it, though ( ... )

I'm pretty much in agreement with Cmar; I'd pick another disability.

While Down's patients aren't always capable of making an informed decision on whether to have sex or not, they usually can communicate quite well (within limits, of course) -- and are rarely so withdrawn. If anything, they're overly enthusiastic, especially with something or someone they like and/or enjoy. My son's guitar teacher had students with Down's; the kids were barely able to master the technique, but BOY, were they excited when they DID manage to play a simple melody! It was quite touching to see, really.

Other than that, a very nice scene. :)

This turned out well. I loved the interaction between Wes and his mother, that was uber sweet. And that is spot-on Wes. I love his mother to death, but after reading cmar_wingnut and germankitty's replies, I'm kinda thinking you (or we rather ^^) should rethink her. Reason being because it would almost make more sense if she *was* or *had been* normal healthy when Mr. Collins met her and was with her. You could still have them meet at the hospital. She'll be there for a simple procedure or surgery of some kind. Something that seems and the doctors say *is* a simple thing that's not to worry about. Then a few years later, whatever it was flares up again, and somehow it causes brain damage. (Or something of the sort. Maybe just an unexplained illness? That the doctors can't seem to diagnose? Then you have free rein with whatever symptoms you want her to have.)

This was great though. And I like how you set it back before Bright Skies, that gives everyone a little intro to a part of him we never knew about. (And that's always fun to read) ^_^

I'm with everyone else about the disability so I'll just skip that.

I really loved Wes here, it was very sweet and in character.

Also there is another site similar to Power Rangers Central. http://www.powerrangersonline.org/epguide/mmpr3.html

It's not as good, but it'll do in a pinch.

I think I may actually try to sleep now, but before I do I was wondering if I could friend you?
