Trapped Paradise (Supernatural, T)

I have come to the conclusion that my RPG I play with my sister makes less sense when I explain it to people.

We started this thing a few years ago. Basically we borrow characters from shows/anime/manga we like, come up with a personality for them (or keep the one they have), and throw them into this massive, twisted world that's probably the weirdest soap opera ever. It originally started with a character named Duo Maxwell, his group of friends, some military corruption and a missing father, and sort of ... escalated. We're on everyone's eighth or nineth lifetime now (When you get bored with things, blow up the world and start over! It's a classic way to cure writer's block!), and now the same group of main character are teachers at a special school, all immortal with too many children to count, and still happily in love. (Yes, I'm a sucker for happy endings, why do you ask?)

The latest characters we snagged were Dean and Sam Winchester of Supernatural. This is how I tried to explain the current plot:

Instead of being the Anti-Christ like he is in cannon, Sam is now one of the Five Horsemen of the Apocalypse, while Dean is the angel David, sent by heaven to keep Sam's power in check. There's a group of demons who want to use the Five Horsemen to overthrow the demon king. But Sam and Dean don't know what's really going on yet.

Obviously, no one has the slightest clue what I'm talking about. -Grins sheepishly- But I wrote this for my sister, so I'm posting it anyway. ^_^V

Author/: Tsukino Akume
Fandom/: Supernatural, Vampire Princess Miyu, Castlevania, Card Captor Sakura, Gundam Wing, Fullmetal Alchemist, Bishoujo Senshi Sailormoon, Fushigi Yugi, Rurouni Kenshin, Ah! Megami-sama! (AU)
Characters/: Dean
Pairings/: Heero/Duo, Dean/Winry
Rating/: T
Disclaimer/: I do not own Supernatural. I *do* co-own the plot of the RPG this is based from, although 98% of the characters are stolen from other shows. But I still claim the plot, damn it!
Summary/: When John Winchester died, Dean and Sam found themselves taken by a pair of strange women to a school on an island in the middle nowhere. Dean isn't dealing well.

Warnings/: Language, mentioned hints of sex
Author's Notes/: At the moment, Dean and Sam were recently added to my RPG because I'm obsessing over Supernatural. Dean's thoughts about everything came into my head this morning.

For the curious, I'll post a character list at the end of this so you can figure out where people came from, but I want to see if anyone can guess first. ^_~

For my Shi-chan, 'cause I love her, and she's evil and gives me ideas like this.

In all the ways he'd ever imagined his life going, Dean had never expected this.

He'd known, distantly, in that 'it's-gonna-happen-but-we-never-talk/think-about-it' sort of way, that his dad wasn't going to live forever. And that when John Winchester did go, he was going to go out with a bang, taking whatever evil son of a bitch he was facing with him. Because that was his dad, and his dad wouldn't settle for anything less.

He hadn't expected to be sixteen years old when it happened, suddenly an orphan with only a car and a twelve-year-old brother to his name. And being able to finally call the Impala his couldn't ease the ache that had been left when he'd gotten the news that Dad wasn't coming back. Instead he'd ignored Bobby's call, told Sammy that Dad *would* be coming home, he was just late was all, and locked them up in the hotel room with as much food and loaded weapons as his meager emergency stash could cover.

The two women showing up at their door to 'talk' was more than a little bit of a surprise. He hadn't wanted to trust them at first, but there was something about that one chick, Miyu? Something that was calm, and peaceful, and promised that she'd never hurt a fly. Sammy had liked her immediately, but then, Sammy trusted anyone who smiled nice and told him they wouldn't hurt anybody.

Maria ... now she was something else. That chick had 'badass' written all over her. It was sort of disappointing to see her kissing Miyu - hot as hell, but disappointing. And when she walked out to take care of whatever was waiting for them outside, she looked ready to bust some skulls.

Miyu had somehow taken them here, to Everwood. Everwood Schooling System, they'd explained later. One minute he and Sammy were in their hotel room with a pair of totally hot lesbians, the next they were in some giant cafeteria with a bunch of people staring at them and asking him to put the gun down while he kept Sammy behind him.

Okay, so maybe it wasn't the best of first impressions. But he wasn't apologizing for anything. They were the ones who dragged him here without warning, and told him they were keeping him here. Keeping him and Sammy 'safe' they said. As safe as they could be surrounded by a bunch of freakin' immortals.

This place wasn't all bad, though. The food was *awesome* for one. Damn did that cute Sakura know how to cook. And her dad wasn't half bad at making a decent meal, either. There was a place to sleep every night that they didn't have to pay for, which was a bonus. They'd even brought the Impala here for him when Sammy asked about it, storing her in a garage so no one could see her without his permission. The guys whose garage it was in even said it was all right for them to come visit her any time, and never complained when he'd come get Sammy from where he'd curled up in the back seat and fallen asleep.

The adults were all right, he supposed. Duo - one of the guys with the garage - definitely knew a beauty like his baby when he saw her. His van may have been butt-ugly on the outside, but the engine was fantastic and the interior had things he'd never even *imagined* putting into a car. His ... husband? Heero, had a kick-ass motorcycle he'd been showing off. And Trowa, with that monster truck. The guy may have a weird fetish for huge cars and tiny people, but he definitely knew how to build an engine.

The school part of things sucked ass, but he'd been in worse. No one had made fun of him for his test scores for once - so far - and they'd already stuck Sammy in as many advanced classes as they could squeeze him into. And yeah, the teachers were all right, even if they did have a weird thing about being called by their first names. That Wufei guy would be kinda cool if he wasn't an English teacher. (Seriously, who the hell starts a *spitball* fight in their own classroom?) Math was ... weird, with Heero and his 'pop quizzes' everyday, which apparently only Dean actually noticed, and had been congratulated for calling him on. Woodshop and Mechanics were pretty cool; they let him come up with his own projects and pretty much left him to himself until he asked for help.

And hey, Winry taught Mechanics.

Winry was hot, had a smart mouth, hot, used a wrench like it was a weapon *and* a tool, and did he mention hot? But she was pretty cool, as far as chicks go. Although Trowa got sort of freaky whenever he saw them talking - even if was just about engines. Something about him being seriously protective of his daughters, according to Heero.

He still wasn't sure how he felt about Relations. Usagi was drop dead *gorgeous*, and watching her was definitely a pleasant way to pass the time. But the things she was teaching were ... Two-fang vampires really *did* exist? There were shape-shifting demons that didn't come from hell? Immortals had *kings*? Most of the world was being run by immortals, and they were really just like humans except for the not dying part? What the fuck?

That was the part of this school that he didn't like. Nakago for instance. Yeah, the guy had to be an ass by default 'cause he was the principal and all, but ... He didn't *need* pointers on his training, okay? His dad's training regimen had worked for years, and he could teach Sammy just fine by himself. They didn't need help from anyone.

Why were these people always trying to tell him his dad was wrong? Wrong about the supernatural being evil, wrong about the way he'd trained them, raised them, fed them, wrong, wrong, wrong. Maybe they were the ones who were wrong. Had they ever stopped to think about that?

Then there was Kenshin.

He knew what Sam was doing when he said he wanted to take care of something before breakfast. Smoothing things over was what Sammy did, even if Dean wasn't wrong, damn it. For Sammy, it was enough that people thought he was, and he wanted to apologize for his brother offending them.

But when he found him in Kenshin's dojo, leaning against the older man as he was hugged and looking so damn ... content, something in Dean's chest tightened. Who the fuck did Kenshin think he was? Sammy was *his* brother, *his* responsibility, and if Sam needed a fucking hug, he could ask Dean for one, god damn it. They didn't *need* these people, and if they weren't stuck on this god-forsaken island in the middle of nowhere, he'd just pack Sam up and leave right now.

But they were stuck, and Sam was hugging Kenshin instead of Dean, and the only thing he could fucking do about it was walk off and try not to scream.

One of the few nice things about Everwood was the fact that it did have a pretty big area of forest away from the school, where a person could wander for hours without really seeing anyone. From the rumors he'd been overhearing, some of the students liked to use it for more 'recreational' activities, but it was generally established as a good place to get away from it all. Something Dean needed to do before he started pumping people full of silver - not a good idea, considering where he was.

There were supposedly people he could talk to if he wanted to get things off his chest. Nuriko, one of the school psychologists. But Nuriko was a little too touchy-feely for him. The other psych doctor, Nicolette, was more his style, but she'd have him psychoanalyzed in two seconds flat, and he really wasn't in the mood to be told he was a walking headcase. He'd been told the other teachers were always there if he needed an ear, but ... he really didn't know any of these people. He sure as hell didn't trust them. Why would he bother telling them they were creeping him out and pissing him off and he wanted to get the fuck out of their perfect paradise?

He eventually found his way to Heero and Duo's garage and back to the Impala. He stared at her for a moment, gleaming quietly in the darkness, before opening the back door and crawling in. He found a half-empty bag of peanut M&Ms and used it to silence the rumbling in his stomach. He could have gotten breakfast, but he didn't feel like seeing anyone right now. He sure as hell wasn't going to class, and they could bite him for all he cared - wait, they actually might.

He groaned, dropping his head back against the seat. This was so screwed up. Dad was gone, they were surrounded by immortals who swore they were protecting him from 'something' that was after him and Sam, and now Sammy was off making friends with the enemy. Dad would be so pissed.

He didn't open his eyes when the door opened slowly beside him some time later, just lifted an arm and waited for his brother to climb in beside him. Sam snuggled against his side, fingers clutching at his shirt as he let his arm settle back down around him. "Dean?" he whispered a moment later.

"It's gonna be okay, Sammy," he murmured in response. "I'll protect you, okay?"

"Okay."

His arm squeezed slightly out of reflex, and he heard Sam sigh a little, cuddling as close as he possibly could. Tears stung at his eyes, and he blinked them back harshly.

Sixteen years old, and all he had to his name was a car, a twelve-year-old brother, and memories of his father that were already fading.
