Why do you like Naoko so much (assumption from what little I've seen you write)? I ask only because she is one of the more minor amongst the supporting cast (Yamazaki and his girlfriend gets some of their own scenes, Rika has Terada interaction, etc). Just curious.

Glasses and a liking for the supernatural is what I recall about her.

I almost did a more 'recent' birthday but a sudden impulse to write baby Naoko - and her parents - hit me instead. :)

*grins* Geeks are especially cute when small and cuddly. If I would have done a second drabble, it would have been Naoko at 6 or 7, getting a plastic lightsaber.

I always loved that you did a birthday story for Sakura, so a little one for Naoko seemed like the best way to mark the day. And very glad to hear it brought you a smile.
