so i've been watching dark angel on the scifi channel just waiting for jensen ackles to show up, and finally, finally we get to meet alec, and a. i really like him, and b. i actually have a reason to watch the show now. so, yay. :D

I'm expecting to receive the first three discs of the second season of Dark Angel from Netflix tomorrow, so this is a totally interesting post for me! I never watched the show when it was on because it just totally didn't appeal to me, but now I've seen all these lovely stills of Jensen and they, uh, do appeal to me. LOL I guess I'll be watching this one for the eye candy.

(there will be more alec, you know.) max was just too hung up on logan to get with the program. supercatgirl is apparently a wee bit, i dunno, stupid? and BLIND? they should've waited until she went into heat. also? logan had DEPRESSED hair, all flat and sad.

also also? grace park was in the first alec episode, and the girl who plays cally on bsg was in the second one. those canadian actors just get EVERYWHERE, don't they.... and nicki aycox was in one! i swear this show is turning into spot-the-supporting-actor.

Holy Jesus fuck on a stick! That's the first time I realized that the woman who played Meg was also in Rave MacBeth! !!!!!! o_0 and so on. Woah. Weird. I didn't recognize her at all. That's.... I'm... It... Huh. Eeep.

Ooooh, Dualla shows up later in season two, and Alicia.. oh, you didn't watch Smallville. But yeah, it's like playing spot-the-recycled-actor between SG1 and SGA :D

Alec is THE reason to watch Dark Angel. I watched S2 first for the Jensen and then I tried to watch S1 'cause I like things that are apocalypsy, but I couldn't do it. But Alec. Yum.

there's the one episode with jensen in s1, that's really good. he's very convincingly creepy. altho aside from that, the best i can say about s1 is that by the time i got to s2 i wasn't completely confused. it's like having a whole season of backstory. and it's not really that apocalypsy! if it was, i think i'd like it a lot more. (and i just noticed this last night, but man, jessica alba has really skinny arms. if she really was that strong? she'd have a wee bit more muscle. she seriously looks like she could break a bone carrying a particularly heavy package for delivery, never mind throwing someone twenty feet into a wall.)

i'm watching for alec to the point i tune out when max and logan are on screen without him. also i want to give logan a HAIRCUT AND A SHAVE. shee. *ahem*

I've actually only seen bits of that one ep but I did have the advantage of watching S2 with a friend who had seen all of it back when it was actually on TV to fill in all the missing bits.

It's dissapointing how not apocalypsy it is for soemthing that supposedly post-apocalyptic. 'Cause I totally would have liked it more if things were more fucked up in that way. Well, and less plot holes might have been good to but, you can't have everything. :D

Yeah, I totally tuned out most everything not Alec related, as well. And Logan and Max, man, they are the lamest ship ever. I mean wtf is wrong with Max that she pines over the guy she can't touch when Alec so clearly wants her? Ah, well. The things we'll do to see the pretty.

not to mention that alec is BETTER-LOOKING than logan. and probably in better shape, what with all the physical fitness and oh yeah, not being in a wheelchair. and he's not consumed with angst. and jessica alba and... uh... whatever his name is who plays logan - michael someone? - don't have much sexual chemistry, whereas jensen has chemistry with the WALL. i think manticore should've waited until she went into heat to throw alec in her cell, because really, raging hormones + jensen without a shirt = WHO CAN RESIST THAT?

and y'know, cameron did a really nice job with the post-apocalyptic bits of the terminator, so it's not like he can't do it. da is, like, post-apocalypse lite. post-apocalypse-wannabe tv show.

When's it on again? The roommate mentioned it to me. But I wasn't too concerned cause they were still in season 1. And I own season 1. It's Season 2 I'd like to see, though it wasn't as good. They couldn't keep the actress who was DS9's Kira, so they had to come up with a new bad guy.

And I haven't read anything you've said about liking Alec more than Logan or any of that. For I know you are not a Dark Angel fan, you just want to see Jensen. And this is a way to see him without the painful horror that is Smallville.

Smallville S4: The reason why even half-good TV vastly exceeds my expectations.

I only saw 102, 103, and 104 of Dark Angel, but I liked them. It was the first time I ever thought Jessica Alba was hot.

Season 3. Episode 9. That's when I couldn't take it anymore. Not a wit more. I scare people when I try to talk about that episode. It is to me, like trying to talk to my roommate (or any x-filesophile) about Season9.

And I loved Dark Angel. And loathed FOX for cancelling it. The second season had all sorts of sophmoric problems, but it looked like they were settling in for a good third season and...chop.

And yet, Smalville stays on the air. Why? People watch it for the soap opera drama, never realizing how it claws some old school DC comics fans, like Freddy Krueger in our dreams, laughing and violating all at once.

But my pain makes me digress. Jessica Alba, cat movements. Pretty.

but she's so skinny in s2! she has such skinny arms and her hair is too long! she looked better in s1 - healthier body, bouncier hair. she fills out the catsuit nicely, tho.
