i hadn't thought of it from that perspective, mostly because they don't seem to show that dynamic very often. there seems to be a lot more inara/mal, either because she's not someone he can shout down or because the ptb want some nice sexual tension. i'd love more of inara letting kaylee channel her inner girly-girl, because you're right, kaylee IS a girly-girl and she needs another girl to bounce off of every so often. but there's very little of that. either that or i haven't been rewatching the right episodes.... :D ( ... )

I liked Kennedy. She wasn't whiney. I thought all the rest of the wanna-bes were whiney and annoying. I really wasn't a big fan of the last season.

I am so ready to see it myself...firefly...does the happy dance. I don't know why but I can totally see slash but only with mal/jayne, mal/simon and mal/simon/jayne. Weird.

i could stretch and see mal/jayne, maybe jayne/simon under certain circumstances, but i dunno, it doesn't seem like a very slashy show. i love it anyway. :D

i like simon/kaylee too much to get excited about inara/kaylee. i'm not big into the femmeslash anyway. but wow, is inara gorgeous. she really is.

yes! yes! SO yes. yay for willow moving on, i mean she shouldn't have to mourn her girlfriend forever, but kennedy seemed so predatory. and their eventual sex scene was pure fanservice, swear to god.
