i needed to do my laundry all day and every time i went downstairs someone had beaten me to it. i finally got it in at like 7p. i probably shouldn't complain since a. the laundry's free, and b. it's in the basement, but i'm going to anyway. bitch, moan, whine, complain.

I enjoyed Ms Marvel too. Spoiler but not really, in the finale post credits scene they imply that it's going to be tied into the whole MCU again, which kinda made me roll my eyes because i really don't care for these big crossover storylines, but i suppose Disney gonna Disney. Something i particularly liked is that we got to see a superhero who was legitimately just a teenager doing teenage stuff. I do like adult superheroes with adult problems too, but there's something sweet and innocent and old-fashioned about teenage superheroics... You can much more easily make the origin story an allegory for puberty, and as a kid i remember really appreciating seeing that sort of show on TV.

ms marvel is the first disney+ show to have all new characters so maybe the ptb think it makes sense (and will give them a greater return on their investment) to tie her into the larger movieverse. i guess. and yes, kamala being just a regular teenager is one of the things i really like about the show. she's still got school stuff and family stuff and friend stuff and religion stuff and community stuff and there's this new boy at school and he's really cute and it's kind of refreshing to see a teenager trying to fit their sudden new superheroics into their regular teenage life. like, kamala just wants to wear her captain marvel cosplay and go to avengercon. she's like spider-man like that, but without all the access to tony stark that peter got.
