It's so funny how you can imagine a person to be bigger or smaller than they are depending on the context. Like, i often imagine that a lot of women wrestlers are much larger than they really are, because you only see them alongside other women, and some of them are real beefcakes! But then you see them next to a male wrestler who is known for being one of the "small" guys and it's like... wait, hang on, he's still bigger than she is! So i think seeing Elliot now in the context of being a man it's like, woah, he really is tiny. Whereas you might not've seen that before in the context of being a woman. Even though it's the same person in the same show. It's interesting how our brains work

your point about elliot page is a good one, altho i swear he's smaller than he was before he transitioned. but also when he was still playing vanya a lot of her scenes were with allison or the guy in s1 (who wasn't that tall) or sissy in s2 (also not that tall), whereas in s3 there seemed to be a lot of elliot with tom hopper who is a. ultra padded to play luther, and b. 6'4". viktor's hair is a lot shorter than vanya's, which maybe has something to do with it too, at least for me.

the showrunner has ideas for s4 even tho they've run out of source material, so i really hope there's at least one more season. because seriously! every season they avert the apocalypse and how much longer can they keep that up?

i watched doom patrol s1 and s2 and i mostly liked it altho it really was very, very strange. i'm very vaguely familiar with the comics but i thought the weirdness was pretty on brand. i thought the umbrella academy kids in s1 were less likable tho. doom patrol never made any sense to me but i enjoyed the bugnuts.
