spirit machine, which i overall enjoyed. (i skipped a story but it just wasn't clicking for me and i didn't have the patience to force myself to read it.) it was split in two parts - steampunk seances and scifi seances - and while a lot of things repeated from story to story, there was enough

Oh YOU were the Potatoes of Defiance! I happen to know your summary was on a lot of artists' shortlists so it's a shame it wasn't snaffled immediately, as that didn't reflect our enthusiasm for how it sounded... And I thought you should know, there was unanimous approval of the band name. 😂

i'm potatoes of defiance. :D it's kind of gratifying that i was on a lot of short lists, and i'm guessing no one picked me in the first round because they all got their first choices. which kinda sucks for me but is good for the artists. the band name has been kicking around in my head for years and years - "potatoes of defiance would make a great band name". altho there's no real defying going on in the fic.... and while it's always demoralizing to not be picked until at least the second round, i really really like the art aggiedoll is making.
