I'm sorry you're moving, but it sounds as if it was the right choice (financially) AND you got a place you liked!

i do think it's the best idea, altho for all i know i could've stayed in my current place for months and months until a. the building sold, b. the new owners took possession, and c. they jacked up the rent. and yeah, at least this way i get to stay in the general area where i want to be. and i think it might be nice to have a roommate again - the place won't be so quiet! - altho i'm not sure i know how to live with other people any more. >.<

you are not wrong! it's actually a very random silver lining from working at home, because i can do random shit around the house (like, say, laundry, or taking stuff to goodwill) in the middle of the day, instead of having to wait until i get home from work.
