so a year ago today the who officially declared covid-19 a pandemic. it was quite a day. and a year ago tomorrow was my last day on campus before they sent everyone home for good. i mostly remember the t being much emptier than it should have been during rush hour. it was kind of disconcerting. and i went back a week later to get some stuff

at some point you have to say no to open concept. it's the most useless adaptation of a front room that i think i've ever seen. even if they'd put a door in and closed it off like a guest bathroom should be, it would still be a stupid use of that space. ugh, people, what's wrong with you.

aren't the letters neat, tho? back in the letter-locking days, postage was paid by the recipient, so if you didn't want a letter (or i guess if you were a cheap bastard) you just refused the delivery. that's how so many ended up in the trunk in the first place - people just said no, i don't want that, take it back.

I love your link posts... Sorry I've missed a few lately, I'm busy but also extremely disorganised and things are spiralling away from me. Which is Pandemic Brain more than anything else. Happy Covid anniversary to us all LOL

no worries! i've totally fallen off the lj wagon, and it's 99.44% pandemic brain. someday we'll be free of it.
