What I just finished reading:
tuskegee heirs vol 1, written by greg burnham and drawn by marcus williams, another comic i helped kickstart. it's set eighty years in the future, when a group of kids fly ww2 era planes, wear ww2 era bomber jackets, and pay homage to the tuskegee airmen. which is neat! but the future is weirdly... not futuristic, ( Read more... )

photos, adventures in quarantine, wednesday reading meme, historical record, bunnies, architectural nifty, human kindness, origami

Bunny!
I remember seeing about the Chocktaw donating to Ireland when I was there earlier this year with my Mum (and blimey, that feels like a decade ago now!) but that's really heartwarming to hear the Irish are repaying the favour now.

i guess it's really spring, if the bunnies are out. :D

i'd never heard about the choctaw nation and their donation to ireland, but it's clearly a thing irish folks learn. people remember the good done to them for a long time.

That kind of story is something to cherish, it gives me hope that mankind is worth something after all.

I saw that about the Choctaw gofundme- amazingly dozens of people not just donated but actually donated $170. Sometimes people are so wonderful

What a lovely bunny! We have this overgrown bush thing in our (very very tiny) backyard that a mom bunny has babies in several times a year. The first ones were spotted munching grass a few weeks ago but I haven't managed to snap a picture yet.

i think people can have long cultural memories for good deeds. (when two ships collided in halifax harbor in 1918, exploded, and flattened the city, the first non-canadian relief train came from boston. halifax sends us a christmas tree every year.) i love that some of the donations were $170. generous and symbolic!

it must be spring, if you're seeing the bunnies. SOCUTE.
