I give you credit for your patience with this person and her inability to make up her mind.

I wish my work would bring in snacks and treats, they are sadly lacking in this department.

unfortunately i think managing difficult, time-sucking partners is part of my job. at least she's the only one like her, because more than one and i'd have to ask for a minion. because i am not managing more than one of her.

i think the snacks are part of their attempt to make sure we have some work/life balance, only this is giving us some social time during work instead of after. also it's busy season and they want us to be happy so we don't quit.

me too! i even had to comment on a twitter post that made me tear up at work! the ability of humans to anthropomorphize pretty much anything, and then mourn it when it stops working, is really touching but sometimes kind of awkward. i mean, "i'm crying for a robot!" is such a weird thing to have to explain.

THAT PARTNER!! What with the car service, rather than the cheaper rental, and all of the other hoo-ha, it's clear she's very spoiled. Ugh. Probably a phone call would clear this sort of thing up much more quickly than the Eternal Email Exchange, but I'm sure she would find that presumptuous of her time or something. Ugh.

I feel oddly sad about the Opportunity rover. Poor thing!

to be fair, she wouldn't need a car while she was at the conference, and i wouldn't have even thought of the price difference except the receptionist mentioned it. but yes, i think she is kind of spoiled, because i think her previous place of employment treated their partners a lot differently than we do, with a lot more perks and a lot less oversight. like, i don't think she had any kind of caps on her expenses, for one thing.

me too! altho she survived fifteen years, when she was only expected to go ninety days.
