so i survived another busy season, and seriously, this was the chillest busy season since i started in tax. i did eventually get in some overtime, tho. yesterday was marked by a lot of frantic bursts of activity in and among stretches of nothing working. >.< SO

oh wow, those pandas!! And that brewery is amazing.

Student lunch debt is so awful. Ugh. I've seen a few fundraising things to just collect enough to wipe it out and also school systems just trying to make all lunches free (which usually involves raising taxes so it's been met with limited success) Bah.

Wow, those documents. My grandfather's family was from there so that news hits really close to home for me. What an amazing librarian

i wonder if you can get alligator brewing beer up here, because i'm not a big beer drinker but i'd love to support them. i hope a lot of people took them up on their offer. there were apparently a lot of empty seats in the auditorium, and spencer's supporters were outnumbered (and out-shouted) by protestors.

in a perfect world school districts would have enough money to give kids lunch for free. and i can't imagine they're very good lunches, either.

my grandfather's family was from vilnius too! he and his sisters and his mom emigrated when he was four or five. (his dad and older brother were already here.)

and in conclusion, PANDAS. :D

you're welcome! why are hedges illegal in california? do they count as pests or something? they're too wild? weird! i think they're legal in mass, and i know they're legal in new hampshire because there's a breeder.

They're illegal because if owners were to dump their pets in the wild (as they unfortunately do), they could survive and seemingly impact native animals. Though they do nothing quickly...

Ferrets are banned for the same reason. In places like New Hampshire, the winters are probably too cold for hedgies to survive (OR the state is just less fussy).
