I think yes, THOR is going to be that cheesy. The director said that in an ideal world he'd have had Queen do the soundtrack. That tells you a lot about the intended tone.
I'm all in and can't wait to see it - but it will be interesting to see alongside the rest of Marvel.

it looks like the kind of movie that would have a queen soundtrack! i'm very excited for it. i can't imagine how it's going to fit in with the rest of the mcu, tho, tone-wise.
