I really, really wanted fun hair when I graduated, but my stepmonster threw down the law (not lay, no, that was too gentle) and wouldn't let me touch it. She said it was bad enough I'd chopped it all off a month or so before.

there weren't even a lot of girls with short hair! i was looking for fun colors, mostly, and was vaguely disappointed. altho for all i know a bunch of kids colored their hair after graduation was over.
