I'm so pleased that you read the book and liked it :D And I love your observations about Vika. I want more female characters like that, who are just not interested, and it's not the point that they'll give in later and you'll find out she was smitten from the start. No, she just honestly doesn't give a shit.

And then Kolya does finally get to take a shit, and it's so epic, but Lev won't look at it /o\ Why won't he look at it? God I love that book.

Daffodils for all sounds FABULOUS. Possibly better than free food. I mean, flowers! I'm always too stringy to buy flowers, partially because I don't have a vase and I'm definitely too stringy for that. But flowers! Good for you for taking some.

kolya going "you need to come see my shit!" and lev going "no i don't!" cracked me right up. kolya was just so excited to finally be pooping! it was epic! and lev totally refused to witness the glory! and they're standing there arguing, when they're so close to getting the eggs to the colonel! just... BOYS.

this morning there was one random daffodil on one of the islands in tax, so i put it in some water in a plastic cup. so now i have a single daffodil at my desk. it's nice and springy. i never buy flowers either, altho i have a bunch of vases. every so often one of my plants flowers, tho, which is nice.

but it was also funny and touching and it did have a happy ending. and the narrator is very self-aware, which makes him very endearing.

I had no friggin clue who Farouk was, so I had to google this morning (too tired last night). I am not a reader of comic books, so I wouldn't have known.

I LOVE how weird this show is. My hubby continues to give me the hairy eyeball, because he does not feel the same. Apparently someone at FX had a look at the "things I didn't know I needed on TV" list in my head!

i keep forgetting that it's a comic book show, so it didn't even occur to me that farouk might be from the comics. >.< i love that it's so weird, too! most of the time i only have half a clue what's going on, if that, but it just looks so damn cool i don't care.
