my movie is on. ^_^ (gone in sixty seconds. "are you all right?" "i think so...." "are you sure? 'cause you just went through a wall." i love this movie so hard. "why are people shooting at us?" "because i blew up their car!") ("150... 160... he's gone.") it's full of actors i like and some really fabulous cars and i'm a sucker for a ( Read more... )

Pizza for lunch! I think they are done with the healthy snacks? Although I don't know how baked brie counts as healthy, but it for sure sounds delicious.

I have the book and I wouldn't get the reference. Took me a moment to even realize who those guys are. It's a pretty dull read, however useful.

i don't even know what the pizza was for! it was totally a last-minute decision. and it was all gone by the time i took my lunch break, and that never happens. we always over-order. and yeah, baked brie isn't exactly healthy. even tho it was garnished with strawberries and a lot of grapes. (and delicious, altho to be honest mine is better.) maybe all the crudites and fruit skewers were supposed to make up for it.

the general consensus was that the author of the story in question could've used the elements of style instead of the names, or maybe she shouldn't have italicized strunk and white. (the italics threw me off at first.) i seem to have given mine away. i guess i didn't think i needed it any more.

I would get that reference. I would have considered it common...but in these modern times when a girl can format 3,000 pages in a day who knows?!

Wow, I had no recollection those two were in that flick! I must rewatch! I've been a Cage fan since Valley Girl and forgive him most everything.

maybe it depends on your background, and whether or not you ever had to use it. i must have had to buy it in college, but i apparently gave away my copy because i can't find it. at this point i don't think i need it, tho, because pretty much anything in it is probably online. and i can't format 3000 pages in a day! that's the problem! it will take three. so many tables, holy cow.

i'd already seen gone in sixty seconds a bunch of times when justified started, and i didn't recognize timothy olyphant AT ALL. he had such a babyface in that movie! you should totally rewatch. a lot of it is really fun, and there are some great cars.

Wait what, Christopher Eccleston is in that movie? I guess I watched that way before Doctor Who :-O

I too adore Nicolas Cage.

he is! i can't remember when i saw him in doctor who vs when i saw him in gone in sixty seconds, but he's got so much more hair and looks so much younger in the movie, and i don't think they were that many years apart. i think i recognized his name in the credits before i recognized his face.

I mean, just his ACCENT. There is something really hard to do about a Southern accent, and he definitely does not do it.
