Now that I got that off my chest, aaaaah! It's so schmoopy and holiday-like, and there are all these beautiful traditions I know nothing about, all pretty and existing comfortably under the same roof. And I kinda grinned like an idiot at the first lines, because that right there is Oskar's voice :D I know his voice. I love that voice.

all holiday stories will probably end up being schmoopy one way or the other. and i know nothing about german christmas either, but any holiday celebration that involves putting candy in people's shoes is a good one. (oskar has a thing for hershey's that has everything to do with american gi's in paris at the end of the war.) i'm glad you liked it! it's old.
