my laptop has been having cursor issues that make it profoundly difficult to be online for any length of time, so i've been using my old laptop (which passed "vintage" and settled comfortably in "obsolete" a couple years ago at least), which has kind of a crap-ass keyboard and can only run old and exceptionally outdated browsers, but at least i can ( Read more... )

fun with friends, movies, captain america, tea, new job second floor, beaten by the technology, weekend wrapup

1) Who doesn't need that teapot?

2) If those mugs don't exist, it is obviously time to make them. Then no one else will have them. And you will be gloriously unique. (Just make sure the cat doesn't knock it off the counter, because that stuff is usually pottery and super fragile. Says the girl who lost an entire tea set to a fuzzball.)

1 someone who already has one? in which case they need a silver one with a red star on it. :D and a navy and white one with a red lid. (or whatever color combo screams "peggy carter"....)

2 but i'd want it to look like the arm, with black outlining the plates, and i am really, really not an artist. so someone else has to make it so i can buy it.

Wow, the chocolate bar is pricey! Just from the name, I could envision myself going there and having a Willie Wonka-style experience of going face-first into a vat or river of chocolate and suffocating myself. Happily. ;)

it was not cheap! altho we sat there for two and a half hours and they were in no hurry to make us leave, so we could've theoretically eaten two and a half hours' worth of dessert. which is a lot of dessert! and they did have a chocolate fountain, so you could've at least faceplanted into a chocolate waterfall. :D

previews for deepwater horizon (i'm not interested in a movie about people who died so bp could shrug its shoulders and disavow responsibility for spilling a fuckton of oil in the gulf of mexico)

Uh, yeah. I'm with you. I saw a commercial on TV for this movie yesterday and was so confused. Why would anyone want to see this movie?!?!

i thought it might be a dumb question. :D i mean, the answer to "captain america?" is usually "yes!"

at least the laptop is fixable and i don't need to replace it. could be soooo much worse.

Yes, but where the saint statues made of butter?

Laptop issues SUCK. I collapse into a crying, pathetic pile of misery if something goes wrong with my laptop. I mean, INTERNET /o\

they were not made of butter! but imagine if they were. you could melt down a couple fingers or an ear for your clam bake and lobster dinner. holy butter! yum.

i'm just glad i kept my old one, altho it really is old, because otherwise i'd be DYING.
