I looked at the Guardian, and wow, that was precious. I especially love the assumption that if you stand in front of a woman, wave a hand at her and proceed with a bunch of ridiculous pantomime in her face and she's still ignoring you, it's because she's shy and excited about being approached by such an awesome specimen of masculinity. It never ceases to amaze me how people just think via their ass like that.

There was this great blog post I loved, few years back, and I can't find it anymore, but it was one dude telling other dudes how to stop being losers. The idea was to stop feeling entitled to shit and stop whining about how you're such a nice guy. What do you DO that women (or potential employers) should like you, other than harass them to demand that attention they owe you because you're such a nice guy?

the waving your hand in front of the woman's face made me want to smack that guy so hard his eyes popped out of his head. it doesn't matter if she sees you or not - waving your hand in front of someone to get their attention is fucking rude. and i know men don't understand about street harassment and that women wear headphones because they don't want to be bothered by randos and the risk they run by telling a guy no, but that article is a special kind of entitled. he has a very weird view of women.

that blog post that vanished sounds like actual good advice, tho. every so often a guy has something genuinely worthwhile to tell other guys about how to treat women.
