it's so hot i took two - count 'em - cold showers today. i was all hot and bothered and it wasn't even the fun kind of hot and bothered. hmph, i say. hmph.

on the other hand, a nice cold shower is blissyesterday my sister and i went to ikea so i could theoretically buy a display cabinet thing (and i drove because, well, it wasn't five hours).

I really loved Star Trek and saw it twice. It was so fun and pretty that I don't even care if it isn't the most brilliant movie ever. I'm sure if I spent some time thinking about it I would have plenty of critical things to say but... I just don't want to!

i'm not even sure what i could say that's so critical! i mean, it was kind of convoluted for a while and there were too many plot threads, but they all resolved soon enough. my sister had a criticism but i don't remember what it was.

before i went to ikea i measured 34" inches max along my wall, but the display cabinet is 35", so i had to make sure i could wedge in an extra inch. and i could! i was very excited.
