it's officially winter - i have a cold. >.< i can't have a cold. i'm going to florida on thursday, and between now and then i have three days of work and one day of curling and one day in which i have to get shit done (tm). I so love my holidays, but I hate that pre-holiday madness of trying to locate/wash/pack everything needed, clean out the fridge, leave the house tidy etc. (and then the same in reverse when you come back!). I now try to take two days extra leave before and after I go away, just for that. /rant

the prep is such a pain, you're so right. fortunately for my parents, anything they forget to bring they can ask me or my sister to take down to them when we visit. (assuming it's small enough to be packed....) and we're more than happy to clean out their fridge before they go. :D taking a day off after you come home from vacation is a good idea.

owl photobomb! it couldn't have turned out better if the traffic cam people had aimed the camera. it's like the owl knew the thing was taking pictures. and the bunny story is great, isn't it? how smart of the hotel staff to post their pics of his free couple of days at the hotel. and i'm glad they found his owner and could send him home.

a city in germany, i think, started experimenting with water-repellant paint that bounces guys' pee back at them, because there was such a problem with guys stumbling out of bars and pissing against the walls. i love the random architectural details that londoners added to their buildings to prevent the same thing, back in the pre-modern-tech days.

The pic spam of the bunny's adventures was adorable. I wonder who thought of that, at the hotel?

The pee deflectors... places are now using reflective paint, to keep men from doing that behind bars or in random alleys. So, the problem still exists!

i don't know whose idea it was, but it was such a good one. i kinda hope it was a group thing, that a bunch of employees looked at the bunny, looked at each other, and said "let's take some pictures of this bun having a good time before we send him home".

i read about the reflective paint being used somewhere in germany. i love it.
