today i celebrated not having to go into work by... not getting out of bed until noon. >.< which was not actually the plan. i didn't get dressed and leave the house until almost four, which was also not actually the plan. and i may or may not have gone to work anyway, by which i mean i went to the office, by which i mean i forgot to set an away

When I was little, it was a tradition for my dad to escape to work on the morning of New Year's Eve. There, he'd meet up with other hardworking, dedicated men, and they'd all play Doom ALL DAY to escape the madness of big holiday meal preparations, where they wouldn't be allowed into the kitchen anyway. I thought it was a fine tradition :D Look at you, escaping to work during off season and finding dedicated people there. For all you know, they were playing Doom.

I highly approve of not getting out of bed until noon.

hardworking, dedicated men who worked hard at and were dedicated to... doom. hee. it does sound like a fine tradition indeed. i don't think the two guys i saw were playing video games, but i could be wrong. i didn't want to look too closely at their screens.

noon was a little excessive, tho.

I discovered that eggnog can be frozen and eaten in frozen state tastes so much better than plain old eggnog.

I have to put chocolate and half&half in my coffee these days. I hadn't thought of condensed milk, which sounds so good.

condensed milk probably isn't a lot different from half&half, consistency-wise, but it makes the coffee kind of sweet. half&half and chocolate sounds good.

i wish that cross-stitch guy had made all the planets, not just three of them. but still, how cool! it makes me want to learn cross-stitch.
