i would just like to share that thanks to one of the nano boston twitters (there are two), my nanonovel now has a were-hedgehog in it. he makes a brief and cranky appearance.

Loved the shared links. The picture of the nebulae was beyond beautiful, very inspirational. As was the video of the man who built a WWII world. I think of the G.I. Joes my uncle had as a kid and marvel at what this man was able to do.

I am a knitter. I have never even imagined knitting food. Got a huge kick out of the beans on toast. British staple. LOL.

Great post. 🙌

the nebula came from astronomy picture of the day. highly recommended.

i'm so amazed at the guy with the ww2 town, especially since i think he'll build a miniature set, take a bunch of pictures, tear it down, and build another. the fact that he needs that kind of therapy is depressing as hell, but it's amazing what he's doing with it.

i loved the beans on toast! but i can't imagine knitting and stuffing all those little beans. the peas, too. i don't know how to knit, but i want to learn just so i can make random things like that. (altho learning to crochet might be better. but i don't know enough to even know what i should learn.)

There are many great tutorials on YouTube for both knitting and crochet. Crocheting is something I would really love to do well. Although I can knit, I watch videos on yt to learn new techniques and when I'm stumped by something--like knitting in the round. My knitting keeps twisting. 😊

I would absolutely go to that King Tut exhibit! I saw the previous exhibition when it came to the Franklin in 2007, but this one also sounds super interesting. (Also I may be sliiiiiightly obsessed with Egyptology, lol.) Looks like it goes through May, too, so there's plenty of time.

the fact that it's a reproduction of the actual tomb, with reproductions of the actual stuff, is so much cooler than if it was just an exhibit of the stuff. i couldn't tell how long it runs, so that's good to know.
