at work today we had a tiny st patrick's day celebration with chocolate coins in green foil, shamrock-shaped cookies, and the fluffiest chocolate cupcakes with green slightly-minty frosting sprinkled with chocolate chips. i may or may not have had more than one. ahem. and if there are any left tomorrow morning - someone would have put them in ( Read more... )

The cylinder in the dungeon is what made me nervous. In the US green is sometimes oxygen. Red is hydrogen. White might be air. The sources I looked at were saying that it depends on the country but in the US there's no real standard. Air would make sense if there were workmen working down there and they didn't know what might be in the air in that damp unventilated area. *shudders*

Cute about the hedgies.

Am hoping that the cupcakes have leftovers for you. *grins*

I kind of liked iZombie but was also just kind of meh about it. It was kind of cute and if I'm not doing anything I think I'll try to remember to watch some more episodes, but if I'm busy or forget I don't think I'd be terribly upset. I did like the representation in it. The cop and her boss are both POC, which was nice and unexpected for syfy.

The underground dungeon is awesome but also kind of creepy. I think it'd freak me out a little if I found that in my place, especially since there's not any real way of blocking the hatch.

that's kind of how i felt - kind of cute, kind of eh, it's fine if there's nothing else on. i'm curious enough to watch it next week, tho. and not only are liv's boss and the cop poc, they're not the same poc! so there's a little diversity in the diversity. there should be more middle eastern-looking folks on tv, anyway.

i really wish that person had done more exploring in the dungeon. i mean, there's a whole underground space there! even if it is creepy as hell.

That hedgehog tale is one of the most bizarre things ever! But totally cute. :D

medieval european bestiaries are kind of the go-to for weird animal "facts". altho yeah, a felt hedgehog rolling over felt grapes and then taking them home to feed its felt hedgehoglets is completely adorable.

My first reaction when the hedgehog approached the grapevines was, "Did they not notice that the spines were pointing the wrong way?"

By the time they introduced the "rolling in the grapes" theory, it was clear that the thinking at work was even stranger than I had aniticipated!

Thanks for the link to the Korean 100 years of hair--that's really fascinating!

the fact that they managed north korean hair and south korean hair at the same time is really cool. they've also done iranian hair, black american hair, and white american hair. i think they should pick somewhere in south or central america next. 100 years of brazilian hair, say. or mexican hair.
