Chicago has been a swamp/set of waterfalls for the past two days and the mountains of snow melt. Invest in galloshes that come up to your knees!

we have so far lucked out of the rising tide of snowmelt. either the drains are REALLY GOOD or the snow is evaporating rather than melting. i haven't even seen it dripping off roofs!
