the pipes in my bathroom are frozen so i can't take a shower!

i might have to wash my hair in the kitchen sink!

i have been to the grocery store and back so i don't have to do it tomorrow, my sister watered my mom's plants and iced accidentally watered

I'm shaking in my boots for you O.o Your pipes are frozen? And ANOTHER foot of snow? What is this bullshit? This winter needs to be over soon.

i opened the tap before i left the house in the vain hope that it would encourage the pipes to unfreeze and the water to flow, and lo and behold that worked! so i have water now. THANK GOD. fortunately it's only the pipe to the shower that freezes, so the sinks and the toilet are fine.

ANOTHER FOOT OF SNOW. and we might get more next wednesday.

that's what we do, we keep a trickle of water going all day/night to keep the pipes from freezing, it does help.

the thing was? it was trickling! (i learned my lesson a couple years ago when the pipes froze and stayed froze for a few days and i had to shower at my parents' house. >.< ) i guess it just wasn't trickling enough.

we're getting these ridiculous snowstorms and the west coast is just parched. it's so not fair.

I am so sorry about your pipe, that sucks! Having clean hair, to me, is preferable to not bothering to wash it in the kitchen sink. Of course, my hair is very straight, so maybe that makes a difference? We are currently eating pizza and watching a documentary about Burning Man, but we have homemade Pop Tarts (!! I know!!) and homemade Reese's peanut butter hearts for later/tomorrow.
