non-fic book recs for insmallpackages

i have muffin! i had to bake them in cupcake liners because i don't have any baker's joy to grease my muffin tin, and for some reason they turned out much better-looking than usual. maybe because i baked them in little paper cups and they felt all cosseted. who knows!

anyway. one of the wishes i grabbed for insmallpackages is my top five non-fiction books.

I added the NASCAR book to my amazon list - I actually did know that about the moonshine (the SYSK guys did a NASCAR episode, which you would probs enjoy), but the whole thing sounds really interesting. Plus, I'm in a big NASCAR family; everyone but me has favorite drivers, etc.

i actually learned about the moonshine-nascar connection through some history channel show. (i think it was about the history of drinking in the us, and when they got to prohibition and moonshine, they mentioned nascar.) i never knew! it seems like such a random bit of subculture history.
