Is this the infamous apple pie that has the raisins in it? ;)

it is! but you can take the raisins out. (you raisin-hater, you.) it just won't be as perfect.

And by "as perfect", you mean "fatally flawed". ;)

yorkshire puddings made a brief appearance on elementary tonight, coincidentally. (apparently sherlock stress-cooks.) the individual ones, which are the only kind i have any experience with. not that i've eaten a lot of yorkshire puddings in my life....

apple batter pudding sounds REALLY GOOD. i thought toad in the hole was toast with a hole cut out of the middle and an egg fried in it. and i put maple syrup on sausage, so putting jam on it doesn't sound too weird to me.

brits don't put jam on their peanutbutter sandwiches? you guys are totally missing out. this is about where i'd also suggest a fluffernutter, but as i'm 99.44% sure you can't get marshmallow fluff over there, i won't. mmm, fluff.

i've never heard of eggs with top hats. that just makes me think of chicken eggs literally wearing tiny top hats, which is an incredibly cute image but probably not what that clip was talking about. is your toad in the hole basically yorkshire pudding with sausages in it? under it? because i would eat so much of that.

it tasted a lot better than it looked, fortunately. both years.
