well, technically it's already the 2nd, but whatever. also there's a special on whitey bulger on the travel channel (of all channels!) which is super appropriate because today's topic is BOSTON, for idiosyncratic. (i think they're trying to suggest that after whitey and his girlfriend fled boston, they could live undisturbed in santa monica - even tho people ( Read more... )

You talk about dunkin' donuts like they are a bad thing :( *sigh* I miss Dunkin' Donuts.

I only went to Boston once, ages ago, but other than the fact the drivers there are INSANE it was a completely lovely city and I had a wonderful time. Someday, I'd like to go back there is just so much to do there.

Chris Evans is also a Boston guy. :DDDD So Boston can lay claim to Captain America.

(Also, seriously, you didn't mention the Kennedys once. I'm a little disappointed in you. And you didn't mention the onion rings at the UBurger in Back Bay, which are deep-fried in crack or ambrosia or something.)

I do love your city a lot. It's a great place to visit, and if it wasn't for the snow, I'd probably move there.

well, chris is kind of a boston guy. he grew up in sudbury, which is at least forty minutes west, way too far to be even greater boston. but hey, if he considers himself a bostonian, well, you don't argue with captain america. :D

i totally forgot the kennedys! i was going to mention teddy, too. (boston looooved teddy kennedy. he might not have been a good man in his private life, but he could be a hell of a senator.) also joe kennedy, who i think is the next generation down, who runs an organization the name of which totally escapes me which helps people get oil to heat their homes. it's about time to start seeing ads for it on tv, actually.

i never had the onion rings at the back bay uburger! altho now i have to.

man, so many people are turned off by the snow.... but that just means more snow for me. :D

Well, Chris Evans claims Boston as his hometown - he's a bigtime Red Sox and Patriots fan - so I guess it counts. I mean, I couldn't tell Captain America no. *g*
