Life is too short to like things ironically. So many things to be legitimately enthused about; why eat bacon donuts if you don't actually like bacon (or donuts), you know?

exactly! i don't have any patience for the whole "i liked that before it was popular and now that it's popular i don't care any more" thing - it's so high school. and curling doesn't need poseur fans.

aaaand now i want a doughnut. :|

To be completely honest, the first time I saw curling I was utterly enchanted: housework had finally been promoted to the Olympics, and I thought it was awesome. (I do understand there's more to it than that! Like physics...)

Close call between Sailor Freddie and the hedgehog in the muffin tray.

To me curling is cool because I grew up with it and the hockey and curling teams always supported each other at events. (And they always left the ice in pristine condition, as you can imagine...)

i think the hedge in the muffin tin wins out for me, because hedgehogs usually do.

i love that hockey players would support the curlers, and vice versa! did they have to share the ice? because around here at least, curling clubs want to have their own ice. hockey ice apparently isn't great to curl on.

My Canadian friend says no one actually watches curling except for the Olympics. I said NO! THAT'S NOT TRUE. I KNOW THIS CHICK.....
I know what curling is, but that's about it. I think it's cool that you have a hobby like that, though. Mine is hiking which is fun, but boring to talk about. LOL!

That stargate dress is wicked awesome!

i didn't get to watch hardly any curling at the last olympics! like half a game of women's curling and some of the men's final. no one broadcast it when i could see it. and to be honest i don't know how exciting curling is to talk about, at least for the person listening.

the stargate dress is indeed pretty fabulous. and just pretty!
